Our Work

We partner with networks/alliances of grassroots organizing groups in the housing justice, racial justice, climate justice, and pro-democracy sectors and build long-term and rapid-response legal infrastructure to address legal needs and legal vulnerabilities.

We seek to build a solidaristic and strong community of practice of movement lawyers globally to address crises at the transnational level using innovative legal strategies to accompany movements. We host and coordinate the Global Network of Movement Lawyers which is working to protect the right to dissent and protest, defending elections, mitigating climate change and more.

We design and facilitate a range of cross-issue training and capacity building programs to help lawyers develop the skills to work effectively with social movements and grassroots organizations.

We help movement organizers and movement lawyers develop a shared, bold 50-year vision for the future of legal work, institutions and the role of law itself.
