Lawyer from the National University of Colombia, Specialist in constitutional law and gender studies from the National University of Colombia, Specialist in criminal law from the University Libre, Master in Latin American Studies from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Professor of the Master's Degree in Defense of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law before International Organizations, Tribunals and Courts at the School of Law of the University Santo Tomás. Human rights defender, for 20 years she has accompanied litigation work at the United Nations and the Inter-American Human Rights System levels on behalf of victims of serious human rights violations in the Corporación Colectivo de Abogados "José Alvear Restrepo", including cases of indigenous peoples, children, human rights defenders, peasants and trade unions. In this regard, the successful defense in the Inter-American system of the current Colombian president, Gustavo Petro, stands out.
