AmBer LaMar
Program Associate
AmBer LaMar is a passionate artist, educator, and program manager hailing from the proud city of Detroit, MI. With her diverse knowledge and background, she has devoted the last decade to finding creative ways to communicate the intersections of art education and social change with BIPOC communities. AmBer has developed and trained teams at various organizations throughout Chicago and actively works as a facilitator guiding community members on anti-racism practices and advocacy for mental health. Through her travels, she has had the honor of teaching and studying theatre, art, and languages in over four countries; most recently earning her Masters degree in Arts and Cultural Enterprises at Central St. Martins University in London, where she explored how radical storytelling, art, and culture can transform global power, politics, and people. AmBer continues to relentlessly pursue impactful opportunities that bridge art education with social justice.
She also loves her yoga practice and her puppy Romeo.
